About me
Hi, I am Tabitha, a final year textile design student at Nottingham Trent University. I specialise in embroidery whilst continuing to embrace other techniques and take inspiration from the world we live in today.
Travel has heavily influenced my work and I am inspired by nature, culture and the constantly changing world. I allow photography to impact upon the work I create. I regularly visit exhibitions and read the news to keep up to date with current affairs which also play a heavy role in influencing what I choose to create.
I am confident working both as an individual as well as in a team, contributing ideas and allowing my own opinion and voice to be heard; collaborating and communicating effectively.
I have a range of work experience including working as a freelance studio assistant for Big Sky Studios, London. I have also had experience working at Tring Park School for Performing Arts, helping with making and designing costumes for their final show as well as creating animal accessories for the company Love from Lola.
In addition to this I have part taken in courses including short courses at Central St Martens, a trend forecasting course at the Fashion and Textile museum in London and a weekly course in embroidery to help further my knowledge and skills.
I am currently working on my blog so make sure to check it out. https://abstractatmosphere.wordpress.com/
